Show Gibson Pitch es 4 Hitt Phillies Grab Lead With 7 to 2 Victory By MILTON RICHMAN UPI Sports Writer Bob Gibson of the St. Louis Cardinals could wind up as either the pitcher of the year or the enigma of the year or maybe even both. So far, he has a perfect record: Four victories against no defeats. Off hand, that sounds like he has it made but the right- hard-throwi- ng hander says he's baffled by one problem. "Why does it take so long for me to win a ball game?" he asks. No one seems to know the answer. For example, his brilliant 0 victory over the Chicago Cubs Wednesday night was his first win in 11 days and before that it 1-- took him 20 days before he won a ball game. Gibson struck out 12 men, did not walk any and yielded only four singles in what was easily his finest performance of the season. Larry Jackson was almost as good but ran afoul of singles by Dick Groat, Ken Boyer and Leaders In Big Leagues National League G. ABR.H.
