Show FISH AND GAME HIGHLIGHTS The annual spring reminder to "leave them as you find them" was issued today by the Utah Department Depart-ment of Fish and Game. The department noted this reference refer-ence concerned all forms of wildlife wild-life during the normal period covered cov-ered by the next few weeks when these creatures are nesting, reproducing repro-ducing and the young are first becoming be-coming accustomed to their new world. Though not often seen, the mother mo-ther of the ydung and apparently lost fawn is close by in all but extremely ex-tremely rare cases. The disturbed nest of both game and song bird can mean that nest will be deserted. It is a time to leave them alone and to remember the law provides that game animals and birds must not be molested or harbored except during the regularly declared seasons sea-sons for taking them. Utah's fish and game license agents over the state, some 500 of them in number, each year express the wish that sportsmen will come in to buy their license before the last minute rush common to the opening days of the outdoor seasons. sea-sons. With the first expected rush coming as the June 6 opening day of the trout season nears, the agents aro hopeful more sportsmen will make their license purchase early to avoid this rush. |
