Morrell, 20, Boyne Falls, Mich., AWOL. Marine, who pleaded guilty to a hitchhiking robbery of a Pro voan last month, was sentenced by Fourth District Court Friday to five years to life iri Utah State Prison. The youth, who had a juvenile record of burglary and car theft was AWOL for the second time from Camp Pendleton Marine Base, Calif., when with another AWOL Marine he hitched a ride in Fillmore with Dell R. Carter, robbed and his family threatened, withj one youth holding a toy gun on him, the other a knife. The youths asked to be let out at Spanish jFork and were arrested by Proyo police boarding a bus. Another defendant, Margon 28, American Fork, who had pleaded guilty to charges of hit andjruh in a personal injury accident Feb, 25, and currently was on parole from Utah State Prison, 60, 390 S. 6th W. Friday was sentenced to 45 days Mr. Carter told police he was in Utah County Jail. Provision For-bus- h, f was made in the sentence for release to take skin graft treatments at Salt Lake County Hospital for severe' burns suffered in late 1960. LaRee Olsen Oakey, 35, 243 N. 2nd W., pleaded guilty Friday to charges of issuing fradulent checks, and judgement was set for April 21. Trial date for Theron Johnson, 33, Brigham City, charged with wilfull neglect and failure to provide, has been set for June 9 in ' L 3-87- - . - . ; V i - ; vis... ',- v fcv me ... - Richard M. Phillips, 680 N. 8th W., Provo, given permission to withdraw his former plea of inno cent to a charge of wilful neglect and failure ta provide, was placed under court order to pay $50 for support of a minor child and bond was set at $500.
