The juvenile court has been handling several cases in the district and the offenders find themselves on. probation with work and assignments and under a restraining order against such coercion or threats. It isn't a problem that spreads through much of the teen-ageranks, but enough so that it must be controlled by teachers, parents and the law. Many young people because of fear of reprisals or of being called chicken won't report threats or demands to their parents or the law, but many calls (some of them anonymous) come to the court and the offenders are punished. Some of the young people are equipped with "equalizers" such as seven-inc- h knives, homemade black jacks or stilettoes all of which can lead only to more trouble for them.
