Rich', associate professor of religion at BYU. The tour will leave Provo at 6:45 a. m.. and return at 5:30 p. m. the same day. Places to be visited" include "This is the Place" , monument, the State Capitol building, Temple. Square, the Daughters of Utah Pioneers Museum and the Pioneer Village. Four lectures will be given preceding the tour. They are "Into the Valley Early Landmarks' by Dr. Rich; "History of Temple Square" by Dr. Stewart L.jGrow, Department of Political Science chairman; "History of Pioneer Village" by Gustive. O. Larson, assistant professor of church history and philosophy; and "Color- led Slides of Utah Valley" by Dr. of Travel Jay B. Hunt, director ' Studies. Dr. Kenneth C. A. class for adults who want to learn how to read- will begin Monday, March 30, at 7:30 p.m. The class will meet in the center wing of the Provo High School, room number. four. . Plans call for la small class. Two classes will be formed if necessary in order to keep the number in each class small. A small fee will be charged for the class. Mrs. Mary Barlow will be the teacher. A new Slim Trim Class will begin Thursday, April 2, at 7:30 p. m. in the Maeser School gymnasium. The class is sponsored jointly by Provo City Recreation and Adult Education programs. Two new abacus classes are slated to open this week. The advanced class begins Saturday, March 28, at 8:30 a. m., in the first room of the north wing of the Provo High School. Mrs. Helen Hinckley Jones has for, the past 20 years taught "Writing for Publication" on the adult and college levels in California schools. Mrs. Jones classes have been exceptionally successful. H e'r students have ' sold to many magazines, including Saturday Evening Post, Atlantic Monthly and Ladies Home Journal. They have also appeared in Argosy, Adventure, Man Hunt, Ellery Queen, and others. Several members ofher classes have publish. ed books. Mrs. Jones is author of a number of publications under the name of Helen Hinckley. (She is a granddaughter of Ira Nathaniel Hinckley for whom the Hinckley Hall was named.) v A few of these publications are "Persia Is My Heart," "Reveille For a Persian Village," published by" Harpers.
