Adopt-a-Native Elder Rug Show and Sale Adopt-a-Native Elder’s 28th annual Navajo Rug Show and Sale will be held Nov. 10-12, at Deer Valley’s Snow Park Lodge. Saturday, which will include a Navajo children’s princess pageant, Native American Grandma and Grandpa Idol competitions, will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday’s schedule, including a veterans ceremony and closing power, will also run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday tickets are $30 for adults and $10 for children under the age of 12. Opening Ceremony for ‘The Way We Worked’ exhibition An opening ceremony for “The Way We Worked” exhibition will start at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11, at the Park City Museum, 528 Main St. A local veteran will be there to speak. The Way We Worked has been made possible in Utah by Utah Humanities. The exhibition, created by the National Archives, is part of Museum on Main Street, and collaboration between the Smithsonian Institution and State Humanities Councils nationwide. On Sunday night Piper Christian will speak after the film about her involvement with Jane Goodall’s Roots and Shoots Program’s National Youth Leadership Council. Climbing Wall at the Swaner EcoCenter The Swaner EcoCenter, 1258 Center Drive at Kimball Junction, offers climbing on Saturdays and Sundays from 1-3 p.m. The climbing wall is open to most ages. The EcoCenter will provide the climbing harness, but climbers must wear closed-toe shoes. Climbers under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult to sign a liability waiver. Thursday, Nov. 16 Park City Film Series: ‘Dolores’ The Park City Film Series will present a free screening of Peter Bratt’s documentary “Dolores,” not rated, at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16, at the Park City Library’s Jim Santy Auditorium, 1255 Park Ave. The screening, which is part of the Reel Community Series, is a presented in partnership with the Park City Museum as part of their “The Way We Worked” exhibit. “Dolores” is about Dolores Huerta, an equal partner in co-founding the first farm workers unions with Cesar Chavez. Huerta led the fight for racial and labor justice alongside Chavez, becoming one of the most defiant feminists of the twentieth century.
