Wilson W. Sorensen, general chairman, who is directing the work of some 1500 committee members and workers, said the celebration will begin Saturday Rep. The big celebration will move into high gear Sunday, June 30 when the patriotic assembly, which will emphasize the true meeting of Independence Day, will be held at 7:30 p. m. at the BYU Fieldhouse. Everyone is invited. LDS warcfs of Provo will consider that the evening meeting, with no sacra- ment services slated. The speaker will be E. Lamar Buckner of Ogden, past national Jaycee president. Charles E. Peterson will be emcee and Secretary of State Lamont F. Toronto will present citizenship aw.'rds. Music will be highlighted by patriotic numjbers chorus of Singing by a Mothers who have been rehearsing for months. Events of the celebration will unfold during the week with the children having their day Tuesday, July 2 when a miniature parade will be staged at 7 p. m. to 200-voi- ce the "Happy Holiday" theme. The line of march will be from First East to Fourth West on Center Street.
