Show MIDYALE HARVEST DAYS NEXT WEEK p 'Midvale's annual midsummer-festival, midsummer-festival, Harvest Days, sponsored by Midvale Kiwanis Club, is sci.cJuVd to be held in this neghboring community next week. A four-day celebration, it opens Wednesday, August 7 and runs through Saturday, August 10th. Highlighting the celebration will be two big Kiwanis Bowl shows featuring the finals of the Utah Talent Quest, selection of a Harvest Days queen, a child-' l en's parade, a street parade, a ! free dance at the bowl, and the usual quota of famous personalities. person-alities. First event of the 4-day fete will be the children's parade at G p m. on Wednesday .the 7th. Ted Mack ot the TV Amateur Hour will be master of ceremonies ceremo-nies at the talent quest shows at the bowl on Thursday and Friday Fri-day nights, and Abe (Tex) Schil-1 ler of Las Vegas' Flamingo Club will act as judge and emcee for the Harvest Days queen contest. On the final day, Saturday, the 10th will be the street parade starting at 6 p.m. with the line of march forming at the Junior High School and moving down Center Street and Main Street to the ball park. |
