Her reign will begin June 7, and continue through June 8, 9 and 10. During the parades scheduled to be held, Miss Thorne will ride a beautiful queen's float to be designed and produced by the Pleasant Grove chamber of commerce. Twenty-year-o- ld Miss Thorne won the crown Thursday evening at a public meeting and program held at the Pleasant Grove high school auditorium. A beauty operator, Miss Thorne was graduated from Pleasant Grove .high school in 1947. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. LeRoy Thorne. The title of Miss Pleasant Grove was awarded Miss Adamson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Adamson. She, too, will have her own float to be i. r hills, the government radio reported Saturday.
