Burton Ourn-for- d and two daughters, Suzanne and Tiffany Leigh. They are vis-iting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. El wood T. Johnson and oth-er relatives. The Copperton afternoon birth-day club met Thursday afternoon of last week at the home of Mrs. Howard Hausknecht. A very lovely luncheon was served after which bridge was played. Prizes were won by Mrs. Norman T. Jacobsen, Mr3. Pete Smith and Mrs. W. D. S. Brown. The dinner group of the Fire-men and Auxiliary are holding a conjoint dinner Monday night, May 27th at 7 p.m. On the com-mittee are Mr. and Mrs. Martin Prigmore, Mr. and Mrs. Don Prig-mor- e and Mrs. Mae Stillman. Mr. and Mrs. Aimer A. Berg received word Tuesday morning from their son, Delmar Berg and family who live in Hickman Mills, Mo., that their home was damaged in the tornado that hit the area Monday afternoon and that they were all right. Beginning Monday, June 3rd, Bingham Ward Primary will start at 10 a.m. it is reported this week. Mrs. Harold Chesler was hos-tess to her bridge club last Fri-day afternoon. Mother's Day Tea Minerette Club held their an-nual Mother's Day tea on Friday, May 10, at the Copperton LDS Ward. The committee members were Patricia Curtis, Marsha Walker, Lynn Boren, Isabel Menna, Marilyn Ball, Jeanne Sanchez, Diane Reed, chairman, Eleanor Markovich and Sharlene Foster. The program included: Mrs. Norma Nichols as speaker; Mrs. Berniece Foster gave the moth-er's response, and Bobbie Lee Johnson gave the daughter's re-sponse. Peggy Peterson, Joan Johnson, Sharlene Foster and Joyce DeCol added a song selec-tion to the program. A fashion show was given by Sharon Pe-terson, Susan Carter, Toni Stew-art, Marie Lovat, Lynn Boren and Betty Zdunich. They appear-ed wearing afternoon and even-ing wear as well as sports wear. Also the new officers for next year were introduced and hon-ored. The table centerpiece was a colorful flower arrangement con-sisting of lilacs and tulips. Closing Tea Honors Senior Members Closing tea for the year was held Saturday, May 18, at the home of Sophie Kampros.. The senior members were honored. The program consisted of the following: a song by Sharlene Foster, Peggy Peterson, Joan Johnson and Joyce DeCol; an accordion solo by Louise Watts, and a talk entitled "Over the Bridge" by our advisor, Mrs. Vir-ginia McDonald. Each senior was honored with a flower and scroll accompanied with a talk given by some of the other members. The centerpiece was a minia-ture bridge with two graduates crossing it. The committee were Sophie Kampros, chairman; Bar-bara Hiyama, Lois Fahrni, Betty Burgess, Marsha Walker and Jenny Oseguera. We would like to express our |
