They've spent four years in the premier girls basketball program in Utah, winning three state championships. Mountain View's record in that four-yespan is and nine of those losses are to teams outside of Utah. The Hansens have played in China and against some of the top teams in the country, and in 2001 helped Mountain View to 87-1- ar 0, a national title. Heather Hansen averaged 15.1 points, four rebounds and. five assists per game in her V senior season and scored 22 points in her team's close win over championship-gam- e Orem. Heather also holds the state record for with 183. career "Heather's more of a vocal leader," Houle said. "She was really just an extension of me out there on the floor. I've got a lot of faith in her after four years. She's the more emotion; al one." Hollie Hansen averaged 11.1 points, six rebounds and 6.6 assists per contest. Houle said she averaged nearly eight steals per game, ah incredible number in a high Bchool game. "Hofiie's very business-lik- e on the floor," Houle said. "She was a silent motivator and gave other kids opportunities to step up. She led by example and has an uncanny ability to get her hands on the ball. She followed that up with a (18 points, 14 rebounds, 10 blocks) in a victory over Tooele and was off and running. Lehi won Region 8 and finished the year 19-- Harrison,' a 1 guard, will more than likely be one of the most recruited play- ers in the state her senior year. Payson's Dave Hiatt is our Coach of the Year. Hiatt. who led the Lions to a state championship game appearance in 1997, returned this season and immediately transformed Payson into a contender. Payson won only four games in 2002, but finished 2003 with a 0 record.
