(JoAnne Rawlings) ' ' N A Valentine dance for OREM everyone who enjoys an evening of good fun is being planned by the Jaycees to be held Fridav. Feb. 1L at the new CIO building in bouth orem. says Vaunt Wil-iams chairman for the dance. The proceeds will go towards youth welfare activities. ; Lowell Prestwich, local presi dent, reported that in youth ac tivities that an order for nearly $300 worth of playground equip ment had just been given to be installed this spring in the Jaycee- initiated playground in the Bever ly subdivision. .Fians tor tne subdivision were brought to a standstill when the American Housing Corporation asked that the Jaycees maintain liability and accident insurance oh the playground so they would not be held liable. This proved 'pro hibitive' so the two groups decided that ther American Housing Cor poration would deed the ground to the Jaycees and it would remain in effect as long as it was main tained as a playground. A number of pledges in the sub division are yet to be collected but these fcepole will be contacted as. soon as it is possible in order that the playground will be fully equipped and with a fence around it.
