The council had questioned the figures which Showed that Bingham and Oquirrh communities are to receive $6,000 and $6,500 respectively, and Midvale only $500. Nelson pointed out that about $4,000 in each of the larger budgets is for Boy and Girl Scouts, while in the case of Midvale these funds are included in Scout funds which are separate from the $500 set for financing the Halloween party. The council advised that the Midvale United Fund committee be organized earlier next year in order to correct its budget, as See. $500 will no longer cover the cost of the Halloween celebration. Nelson advised that Midvale funds unused last year can still be used this year. He said that, the local drive is nearly complete, and now totals slightly more than $5,000 collect ed and pledged. A vigorous at tempt is being made to include in the United Fund several agencies which still conduct separate drives, so that all charitable agencies can be included in one , campaign.
