A prize will be given to the ward with the best attendance. Mrs Clemm Haegrens dance review will be presented at 7:30 p.m., May 23 in the Crescent Ward amusement hall, and is sponsored by the clubs. Each family will be cong tacted. It is a building project. Refreshments will be sold. 4-- fund-raisin- Mrs Agatha Wynn entertained her birthday club at a luncheon last Saturday at a Highland Dr. restaurant. The group also played cards. Special guests were Mrs Kate Taylor and Mrs Laura Oman, Salt Lake. Crescent Second Ward enjoyed a project temple dinner party last Saturday evening at Crescent Ward. Round dances were enjoyed with Max Hatch in charge. Crescent elementary school grades enjoyed a field trip Thursday. The group rode on the train to Garfield and was shown through the train they went to Hogle Zoo, and this is the place monument. Teachers are Mrs Sandra Shur-tlef- f and Mrs Diane Carson. Roommothers who went along Maxine Dunn, Mrs Kathryn Stanger, Mrs Eddus Hyde, Mrs Marian Orr, and Mrs Rene Ann Fenton. The fifth and sixth graders enjoyed a field trip Friday. The The group visited the weather bureau, a salt factory and ate lunch at Liberty Park. Teachers are Prin. James Miller and Max Hatch, who attended. Crescent elementary safety patrol enjoyed parading with the group in Salt Lake ending up at the county jail. They attended a movie at the Villa. They were served hot dogs and drinks. Those attending from Crescent were Susan Crebs, Sharee Hyde, Margaret Jenkins, Lynctte Oakeson, David Lancaster, Ross Johnson, Chris Svedin and Marlin Jenson. Those from Crescent who took part in the dance revue at South Jordan elementary school were Lynettc and Sharon Oakeson, Sharee, Susan and Marilyn Hyde, Joyce Olsen, Laurie Hardcastle, Cathy Shulson, and Nicolene Riska, presented by Mrs Clem Haegren and accompanied on the piano by Mrs Luana Nielsen. Granite MATCHING Adolph Merr Has 95th Birthday The 95th birthday of Adolph Mere was observed last Friday at the home of his granddaughter, Mrs Nelson W. (Jean) Clayton, 2941 Little Cottonwood Canyon, where Mr Merz makes his home. He was born in Zurich. Switzerland, a son of Sebastian and Susanna Foster Merz. He came to Utah in 1889 and settled in Mt. Pleasant as a stone and marble worker. A member of the LDS Church Mr Merz served two missions in Switzerland and one in Germany. 11c was also bishop of Mt. Pleasant South Ward and president of the North Sanpete Stake and served as Liberty Stake patriarch. In March 1890 he married Ida Ruthishauscr in the Logan Temple. She died in June, 1950. They had one (laughter, Mrs Ida Thompson.
