Holt and daughter, Joan, of Salt Lake, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Clive Bennion at the Bennion canyon home in Silver Fork, Big Cottonwood canyon. ! They were guests of honor at a luncheon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hans Hartkopf, 4377 South 7th East, Sunday. They enjoyed a family picnic party at Liberty park, with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Morris as hosts. Rov also took his euests for an airplane ride over Salt Lake val ley. Mrs. Emma Ashcroft, Farming-ton- , N. M was house guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. T. Galligher, 255 West 4500 So., for the past ten days. Mrs. Ashcroft was entertained with tours, dinners, canyon parties and last, but not least, at the policemen's ball. Smith and son, Dennis, Redondo Beach, Calif., spent five days last week end with Mrs. Smith's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Reading, 622 West 6400 South, and other relatives. They were accompanied on the trip by Joyce's uncle. Rex M. Jensen. Lone Beach, Calif., who visited with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry P. Jensen, Midvale. Saturday evening Mrs. Smith was a dinner guest of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Norton, Salt Lake, and Monday she was luncheon guest of Mrs. Maggie Smith. Iris apts. Alice Gasparini and daughter, Judy, of Chicago, are spending a week, with Mrs. Gasparini's n sister and family, Mrs. Carl of Berger street. They will spend a week in Los Angeles with friends and pay a return visit to Murray en route home. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Murdock, 4858 Wasatch St.; Mrs. Tamar Reading, 618 West 6400 South, and Barnard Anderson, Sandy, spent several days this week at the canyon home of Mr. and Mrs. Clive Bennion, in Silver Fork, Big Cottonwood canyon. Members of the Murray Canasta club enjoyed dinner at the China Village in Salt Lake last Saturday then adjourned to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Shelby West, 4616 Boxelder St., and spent the remainder of the evening socially. Funeral services for Wendell Mann, 22, of Taylors-villwere conducted Monday afternoon in Taylorsville First ward LDS chapel, with Bishop Abram Barker officiating. Mr. Mann was killed by lightning July 28 at Bingham copper mine of Kennecott Copper Corp., where he was employed as craneman. Born March 30. 1929, in Bountiful, a son of Leonard C. and Wanda Bray Mann, he- - attended Bountiful Junior High school and in July, 1947, began working for the Kennecott Copper corporation. He lived in Hunter before moving to Taylorsville recently with his wife, Dorothy Carroll Mann, and infant daughter, Julie. Surviving are his widow and daughter, and his parents, all of Taylorsville; the following brothers and sisters, Neal L. Mann, Kearns; Mrs. Donna Surprise, Chicago, and Iris, Chealon, Ter ry, Taylor, Jennie and Marsha Mann, all pf Taylorsville. Memorial services incliraed: Family prayer at the Funeral Home, Keith Mann, a cousin from Bountiful; invocation, Ronald McBricle; vocal selections, "The Lord Is My Shepherd" and "In the Garden," quartet consisting of Virgil Steadman, Leonard Gerrard, Helen Jones and Wilma Finlayson, accompanied by Minerva Frame; speaker, Amby Briggs, president of the South Davis stake; speaker, Bish (op Barker; quartet, 'Abide With Me ; benediction, J.
