Ogden Air Logistics Center's chief of Safety, Col. William P. Miller, is retiring from active duty at a ceremony at the Officers Club at 1 1 a.m. today. Colonel Miller is a command pilot with 3,000 flying hours in the F-- 4 Phantom and Fighting Falcon. He has been praised by his as having served 24 years in the Air Force with outstanding leadership, dedication and professionalism in the positions of mechanical engineer, F-- weapons system officer, F-- squadron pilot, flight commander, instructor pilot, Air Force in Europe headquarters staff officer and squadron commander. At Hill, he was assistant deputy commander for operations in the 3S8th Tactical Fighter Wing from 1988-198before assuming his current position. During his career, Colonel Miller's tactical expertise has contributed to the combat capability of tactical fighter squadrons in the U.S. Air Force in Europe, Pacific Air Forces and the Tactical Air Command, as well as achieving the best safety record in F-1- 6 rs 4 4 F-1- 6 9 Colonel another proud accomplishment is the outf standing results of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's inspection conducted last year at Ogden ALC. These significant accomplishments reflect well on Ogden ALC's senior staff, supervisors and workers.
