Scera seeking area talent The SCERA Shell Outdoor Theatre will host the 5th annual Community Artists Concert, August 21 and 22, 1998. Mike Radice, videographer for the program, reported, "The July show begins, appropriately, with a visit to the Territorial Statehouse in Fillmore." This state park, formerly the state's first capital has an interesting history and has been used for a variety of purposes. Gunnison Island, located in the middle of the Great Salt Lake, will be highlighted, as biologists observe pelicans and seagulls on this island, which is closed to the public. Photo tips will include ideas for capturing pronghorn antelope and other desert wildlife on film this summer. Radice concluded, "Antelope are among the few big game animals that have adapted well to human interaction and development. With their stark brown and white bodies, them make for great photos." Black bear safety will also be discussed. They will talk with biologists about recent bear encounters.
