Fewkes Joyce Hansen Lindow, age 67, June 21, 1997 after struggling against cancer for 22 years. was bhe born October 1929 in 18, Logan, Utah to Neils and Hyrum A n g e 1 i n e W e 1 k e r Hansen and spent most of her youth in the South Salt Lake area. She married her life long friend and companion Kay D. Lindow on September 14, 1948 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple for time and eternity. Her family was the center of her life and she loved to talk with her children and grandchildren and be involved in their lives. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- died f A Wallace N. Berry Neat Berry died at his home after a courageous battle with can Wallace Tuesday, June 17, 1997 cer. He was born June 23, 1928 in Cedar Fort, the son of Woodruff Lysander and Sarah Stickland He Berry. married M a r n a in the Manti L.D.S. Temple. He graduated from Lehi High School. He was a Veteran of the Korean War with the U.S. Army. He was employed as a crane operator at Tooele Army Depot and a rancher in Cedar Fort. He was a member of the LDS Church where he served in the 5th Ward Bishopric, High Peterson July 3, 1951 day Saints and held many teaching and administrative responsibilities in Primary, Sunday School, Relief Society and Genealogy. She spent her life helping others and was a kind and caring person. We will miss her. She is survived by: her husband, Kay, and nine children, Peggy (Robert) Boehner, Diane (Richard) Butler, Ruth (Pierce) Peterson, James (Lisa) Lindow, Lindow, (Eden) Benjamin Jonathan Jeannette Lindow, (Sherry) Lindow, Shawn (Bobette) Lindow, Kathy Spurlock, 41 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Four brothers and a sister: Jay, D'On, Lorin, Neils, and Lanez (Melvin) Probert. Funeral Services were held Tuesday June 24, 1997 at 12:00 noon in the Temple View Chapel, 676 North Eagle View Dr., Alpine. Burial was in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery, Sandy Utah. DO YOU KNOW Sadie Thelma Charlesworth 73, died peacefully Sunday June 22, 1997 after a sud den illness. Sadie was born in P a o n i a , X Colorado, May 24, 1924, one of 12 children to Gilbert Eli and Mabel B. - She graduated from Paonia High School and moved to Salt Lake City where she from Cosmetology graduated School. She married Lyle H. Fewkes May 9, 1946 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Her family was her greatest love and brought her the greatest joy. She devoted her life to serving them and others. She was active in the LDS Church and served a mission from 1986-87- . She helped raise three of her sisters children Priests Quorum Presidency and also served a Stake Mission. He was a board member of Alpine Soil Conservation and a member of the Lehi Riding Club. Survivors include his wife of Lehi, two sons, and one daughter: Woodruff V. (Laurie Jo) Berry, Wade W. Berry, and Mrs. Marlece (Scott) Anderson all of Lehi; seven Skye, Sarnie, grandchildren, Maury, and Hayes Anderson, Cami Jo, Teisha, and Weston Berry; one brother and three sisters, Rial V. Berry of Lehi, Mrs. Beth Blackhurst, Mrs. June (Don) Fenton both of Pleasant Grove, and Mrs. Joan Anderson of Cedar Fort. He was preceeded in death by his parents and brothers Dale, Jake, and Ivan. Funeral services were held Monday, June 23, in the Lehi 5th Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Lehi City Cemetery. Neola Forsyth Kresser, 80, of passed away Pleasant Grove June fane was 19, 1997. born May 14, 1917 in Teasdale, Utah to Neil (Barbara) Kresser, LuJane (Ron) Willes, Murray; Elaine (Alan) Bezzant, Ted (Roxene) Kresser, Robert (Kathy) Kresser, all of Pleasant Coalville; Coleman Forsyth. She married Edward Charles Grove; Edwa (Dale) Woodard, West Kresser, November 9, 1942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She grew up in Wayne County and graduated from Wayne County High School. She was an active member of the LDS church and held many positions during her life. She enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing, quilting, crocheting and Jordan; 34 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Additional survivors include two sisters: Faun (Paul) Fordham; Taylorsville; Irene (Anthony) Carbone, Port St. Lucy, Florida. Funeral services were held June 24, at the Tuesday, Timpanogos First Ward Chapel, Pleasant Grove. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Alvin E. Monson After a rich and fulfilling life of service and hard work, Alvin E. Monson, 90, passed away peaceful ly surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, June 18, 1997 in his home at 269 N. Center American Fork Jr. Chamber of Commerce. Church Bishopric counselor, Elders Quorum President, Priest High Group Leader in Street Scout and Fork. He will be greatly missed by his ft wife Thelma who was a dedicated and loving companion in his later life. Alvin was born September 5, 1906 in the family home in Pleasant Grove, Utah to Mons Monson and Lydia Broberg. He was the youngest of eleven children and the last surviving member of the family. He married Electa Smith Toone on October 8, 1930 in the Salt Lake Temple. Electa died in 1986. He I. J iJk Thelma married included callings American Thompson Jeppson on March 5, 1988 in the Provo Temple. Alvin retired in 1968 after 34 years of service with the Life Insurance Metropolitan Company. He also enjoyed a lifetime of activity in church and civic affairs including charter membership in the American Fork Rotary Club and membership in the leader. He was the father of 7 '' children and 2 Nadine (Richard, deceased) Nibley, Ephraim, Utah; Calvin E. (Claudia Sedgwick) Monson, Provo, Utah; George T. Monson (died in infancy); Mary Alice (Walter, deceased) Briggs, American Fork, Utah; Marlene (Richard) Wood, Newcastle, Calif; Linda Monson (died at age 8); W. Kenneth (Jolene Bowen) Monson, Highland, Utah, currently living in Frankfurt, Germany; Theron White) Jeppson, (Sylvia and Louisiana; Alexandria, Charlotte Coleman, (Larry) Payson, Utah. He had 30 grand- in Pleasant Grove. She passed away June 22, 1997 at her home in Lehi. She was in preceded death by her parents, five brothers, one sister and her husband, Arthur "Toff" Glover, who passed away Aug. 23, 1979. Delpha and Toff were married ) Sept. 4, 1926 in American Fork. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on Oct. 14, 1931. Jerry Michael Liddell II, son of Jerry and Allison Liddell, was stillborn on June 23, 1997 in West Valley City. Graveside services will be held Friday, June 27, in the American Fork Cemetery.
