The state high school rodeo finals start tonight in Heber at 10 a.m. and at 7 p.m.; finals will be held on Saturday, June 15 at 7 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children. Annual First Security The 22nd annual First Security golf tournament is 6 scheduled for June at the Golf Course in American y Fork, according to Harley Jacobs, tournament director and vice presidentmanager at the First Security Bank Orem branch. "This tournament continues to attract top notch professional golfers from across the western region, as well as a very strong field of local amateurs ," enthuses Jacobs. "This year is no different. Golf enthusiasts can expect another successful event this year that Pro-A- m golf tourney starts Friday, June 14 helps showcase the quality of golf offered in Utah County." According to Gary Naylor, local y course, the First pro at the Security has become one of the best golf events in Utah and consistently draws a large number of participants. Some of Utah's top professional golfers will participate, including last year's winner, Matt Johnson of Salt Lake City; James Blair of Ogden; Kim Thompson of American Fork; and Milan Swylor of Sandy. Total prize money is approximately $27,000 with $2,000 going Players Summer Outdoor League Private Team Coaching At a recent Wildlife Board Meeting, board members approved requests from Jan Pace , a disabled ventional bows, as the result of a work related injury several years ago, and has missed the opportunity to participate in archery hunts ever since. Mark Hadley, Wildlife Media Specialist, reports that this change will allow disabled people, who have permanent, physical disabilities, to use crossbows to hunt deer, provided that person applies for and obtains a certificate of registration, authorizing the use of a crossbow and provides a physician's statement confirming the disability. The definition of a qualified disabled person is "those persons who have a permanent physical impair t - "' ' - Starting out strong... change. Physically disabled individuals interested in hunting with a crossbow during this year's archery seasons can apply for the required Certificate of Registration, beginning July 19. To apply for this certificate, applicants must first purchase a Big Game Archery Permit and obtain written certification from a doctor, verifying the disability.
