Show Kindergarten registration slated April 15 at Meadow Elementary Registration for kindergarten students at Meadow Elementary school year has for the 1996-97 been scheduled for Monday, April 15. Parents will need to bring the following materials to the school, 176 S. 500 West, between 2:30 and 4:30 p.m.: Completed registration form. Completed emergency and health information. Time or teacher preference (not both). Original birth certificate. Immunization paper (current). School officials are also asking for a $5 donation to help offset the cost of some of the many school projects, food experiences, math exploration and theme and holiday activities. Anyone who missed the orientation for students and parents may pick up a registration packet at the school prior to the registration date. - The Lehi Lion's Club is sponsoring a garage sale to raise funds for community projects. Citizens are invited to donate anything of value to the event, which will be held on Saturday, April 13 from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. in the parking lot of Four Seasons, 190 E. Main, Lehi. Caregivers Support Group To help individuals caring for loved ones at home with the support they nee.d to get through difficult times, several home health care agencies in Utah County are sponsoring a free caregivers support group conducted by a social worker and a registered nurse. The group will meet today from 2:30 to 4 p.m. in the Eldred Center, 270 W. 500 North, Room 6, Provo. The group meets the first Wednesday of each month. Blood Glucose Testing A free blood glucose test is offered from 8 to 9 a.m. at American Fork Hospital's board room. The test is offered the second Tuesday of every month. Chefs and artists are putting the final touches on their masterpieces for the eighth annual Art and Soup Celebration to benefit Community Nursing Services. The event will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 0 at the Grand Ballroom of the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City. Soup tasting during lunch hours will be from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at a cost of $6 per ticket. Dinner hours are from 5 to 10 p.m. at a cost of $12 per ticket. Tickets are available at the door or from Peacock Studios, 36 W. Main, Lehi, Chefs from many of Salt Lake's finest restaurants have created specialty soups available for tasting during the show. A panel of judges will select their favorite soup, as will the public in the 768-429- People's Choice Award. Over 40 of Utah's renowned artists, displaying a variety of media, will not only have their works on display and for sale, but have also donated a piece for the silent auction that also benefits Community Nursing Services. Local artists who will be featured at the show include Randy Blackburn, Susan Ewing, Russell Peacock and Steve Streadbeck, all of Lehi, as well as Larry Christensen and John Jarvis of Pleasant Grove.
