It was his goal to become a meteorologist or chemistry teacher, Rulon Joseph Fox, 95, Lehi, passed away Sept. 28, 1995 at his home following a short but intense struggle with cancer. He was born Nov. 4, 1899 in Lehi to Isaac and Lucy Hartley Fox. He married Areva LaRee Goates Sept. 27, 1974. He gradu ated from Lehi High 1 A and School but the death of his father resulted in his taking over the family farm. While in school he was active in athletics, especially basketball, and all his life he participated in school, church and community music organizations. He was active int he Farm Bureau as a member and an officer, served on the Lehi Irrigation Board, was chairman of the first horse pulling contest in Lehi and won a number of awards for his farming skills. He was always active in church activities. At the time of his death, he was a High Priest in the Lehi 6th Ward and had just resigned after years as Worker of health. because Throughout these 18 years he drove to Provo from two to three days each week. He had previously served in bis ward bishopric, had been a stake School missionary, Sunday Superintendent, and had been an officer in the Elders and Seventy Quorums. He is survived by a sister, Norine Fox; nephews and nieces, Norene and Michael J.
