Barratt Ave., American Fork t 756-355- 1 ll 4 by Fighting Fire With... I f Cc , ff Ted Apparently, most homeowners do not believe in the old adage "where there is smoke, there is fire." While nearly 90 percent of all homes in the U.S. are outfitted with smoke detectors, only three homes in 1 0 have fire extinguishers. To be sure, it may not be a good idea to stand your ground against some fires, but many others can be put out quickly with the right type of extinguisher. Fire extinguishers are classified according to the kinds of fires they are meant to put out. "A" fires consist of ordinary combustibles, such as wood and paper. "B" fires Involve flammable liquids, such as grease in the kitchen. "C" fires involve electrical equipment. To be on the safe side, it is recommended that homeowners avail themselves of the use of a multipurpose A:B:C extinguisher. At Barratt Builders Supply you will find an excellent selection of fire extin- auishers.
