Show Jeremy Whittaker: 'Size matters not' Described by friends as caring, Ifriendly and striving to do right, Jeremy Whittaker is this week's Pioneer Profile. He is the son of .Curtis and Jillene Whittaker of jHighland. jtPSk 1 He has participated in state drama competitions and has received superior ratings in state Solo and Ensemble music competitions. He has also had lead roles in the school musicals, "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers," "Annie Get Your Gun," and "The Wizard of Oz." As an active member ofthe Highland Sth Ward, Jeremy has served in all his priesthood quorum presidencies. He has received his Eagle Scout award, participated in several ward service projects and served as priesthood chorister and pianist. In community activities, Jeremy is a member of Bridges and BuildingBridges.acommunity service organization associated with Bridges. He has participated in the Lehi Arts Council's productions of "Oklahoma!" and "South Pacific," where he also served as assistant director. Jeremy also participated in the Highland Cultural Arts Committee's production of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat." PETERSON Jeremy, a busy senior at LHS, serves as Senior Class Secretary ' and German club President. He is a member of the National Honor Society, Big BrotherBig Sister Program, DECA, Spanish and science clubs, Encore and Lehi Singers. He also represented Lehi High at Boys' State this past summer. Jeremy has maintained a grade point average of 3.76 while taking advanced placement classes in English, German.biology, history and music. Jeremy has received the National English Merit Award, National Service and Leadership Award, Presidential Academic Fitness Award, Justin Whittaker Favorite Brother Award, and is listed in i Vcsar, - ,3 i , In his free time, Jeremy enjoys activities and spending time with his dog, Curly, and his cats, Quigly and Little. He also works part time for Western Wats Center, a political and marketing research firm in Orem.
