Show Citizen, Press, Review - Wed., Oct. 20, 1993 - Page 13 American Fork Class of f43 hosts 50 year reunion The reunion of the American Fork High School Class of 1943 was held recently at the Colonial House in Lehi. Of the 90 members of the graduating class, 55 (plus 35 spouses) were present for the delightful social hour, prime rib buffet dinner, a program, awards presentation and dancing to the music of the big band era. Gareth Seastrand, Orem, was 50-ye- ar chairman of the event and master of ceremonies for the evening. Tables with beautifully decorated with white candles in hurricane lamps, centered in seasonal wreaths and white ribbon. Place cards were miniature cavemen nutcups. The decorations were the work of Lucille Richards Garrett and Gwen Preston Bennett. Each classmate attending received a small marble paper weight with a brass plate engraved with the Cavemen logo and the Golden Anniversary Reunion date as a memento of the occasion. Classmates were also honored with miniature trophies and special "awards" for their outstanding accomplishments in a commentary by Bill and Margaret Priday Sykes, program chairmen. To ease the hit, a special rule will allow affected taxpayers to pay any increase in their 1993 tax liability over the next three years.
