Alecia Powell, Rebecca YVorthen named 'Students of Month. Lehi seniors plan tours for Lehi students honored by Timp Exchange Club Everyone is invited to join the Lehi Senior Citizens for their 1988 tours. The tours are planned by Senior Citizens sensitive to the needs and preferences of this group and priced accordingly. From June they will fly to Atlanta and return from Nashville for a Country Western Tennessee Jamboree. Highlights will include reservations at Dollywood's New Theater, a riverboat dinner-cruis- e in Chattanooga, and three days and nights in Nashville to enjoy Grand Old Opry, Barbara Mandrell Country, Opryland and more. From July they will jet to Vancouver for a four davnight The Timpanogos Exchange Club Powell as student of the month from Lehi High School, and Rebecca Worthen from Lehi Junior High School. Alecia is the daugher of Bryant and Burdette Powell. Because of her persistence, hard work and positive attitude she has been able to keep on top of things in spite of a physical adversary. She developed a disease called cellulitis from a previous injury. This is an, inflamation between the muscle and the bone, and is both hard to treat and painful. Alecia was in the hospital five times in one year, missing a lot of school and putting her behind in her assignments. She is taking extra classes along with her regular school work to make up the missed work. This would be a heavy load for anyone but Alecia is also involved with drama and has been in several productions, and helps make the costumes. She is the costume coordinator for the upcoming musical to be presented at the high school. She is in debate and has won numerous awards for her speaking abilities. Alecia has a real talent for playing the piano and can play by ear or read music. She also enjoys dancing and singing. Alecia loves small children and worked with them as a tutor while living in West Jordan. She also loves her family and gives support to her sisters. She moved to Lehi last year and was quick to make new friends. She d is and and has been labeled as being dependable. Rebecca Worthen is the daughter of Rick and Sandra Worthen. She has three sisters and two brothers. Becky, as she prefers to be called, is in the seventh grade at Lehi Junior High School, where she has a 3.9 grade point average. She enjoys school and is described as a very conscientious student. She was introduced to foreign languages while in a gifted program and has become excited about continuing her studies in both French and German. She has been studying piano for five years, and has participated in recitals several clinics and throughout the valley. Becky doesn't have a hard time finding things to do in her spare time.
