Golf Pro. Gary Xaylor. recently announced the names of several professional golfers who plan to attend the annual Deseret Bank Open and Pro Am. May 15. 16 and 17 in American Fork. "The pros from throughout the state are exceptional players and we'll be fortunate to have them participate." commented Naylor. Tri-Cit- y Tri-Cit- Those slated to attend this year s tournament include the 1986 winner. Bruce Summerhays. Wasatch Mountain State Park; Kim Thompson. Alpine Country Club; Bob Betley. Royal Greens Country Club: and Jimmy Blair. Stansbury Park Country Club. Formerly known as the Sizzler Open, Deseret Bank will sponsor the annual tournament, the second 14th of some 40 events on the Utah Pro-A- m Circuit. "We saw the tournament as an opportunity to increase community involvement in y the area," noted Harley Jacobs, executive vice president, Deseret Bank. The Pro-ADivision will begin Friday, May 15, with professional and amateur golfers teaming up for cash and merchandise awards of over $1000 each. The two-da- y Open will begin on Saturday, May 16, and consist of three handicap divisions. Both events are open to the public and registration may be made y Golf Course through the prior to May 12. Entry fees are as follows: $35 Pro-Aplayer, $55 Open Professional. $35 Open Amateur. All amateur players must be a current member of the Utah Golf Association and have established handicap.
