Tenth Ward girls win region tourney For the second year in a row, the Lehi 10th Ward girls basketball team ended a perfect season with a final win for the championship in the region tournament. Facing a tough playing team from the Lehi 18th Ward in the final game, the 10th Ward girls had their work cut out for them. They fought hard for every point and the score remained close until the final two minutes when the 10th Ward gained a lead and held on for the win. Led by the scoring efforts of Annette Carlton, the young team six-poi- was a strong shooter from underneath. Helping from the bench were Natalie Carlton, Larene Gurney and Holly Christofferson. Alter an undefeated regular soundly defeated the Cedar Valley Ward and the Lehi 14th Ward in earlier games. Excellent ball handling by Eliesa Wilson and Cindy Turner gave the 10th Ward a big advantage over their opponents.
