A worthy graduating student at Lehi High School willl receive a scholarship to the college or university of his or her choice, according to Eleise Smith, president of the Olympian Club. Club members voted to fund the scholarship at. a meeting held Thursday at the home of Zelma MemmotL "We'd like to help a student who, because of higher tuition costs and cutbacks of student loans, might not have an opportunity for a college education," said Mrs. Smith, z4, Kg The group also voted to sponsor a girl in the Miss Lehi pageant which will be held May 3. Following the business meeting, a delightful book review was given by Mrs. Smith, Her interpretation of the book "The Flunking of Joshua T. Bates," by Susan Shreve, was hilarious, as well as thought-provokin- " , R- A N - "held-back- " was so real you squirmed in your chair as the lad's woes were related. The usual class bully, the staunch but timid best friend, two little sisters, and a set of wonderful parents, were all part of Josh's woes. But, the real story was the lad's relationship with his recently-div- teacher. Lourna Bowie will be at the center to tell about her trip to China. Bowie is an interesting speaker and her presentations are always interesting and uplifting. Lehi students on honor roll Three Lehi residents were named to the Utah State University's honor roll for winter quarter, according to Dr. Val R. Chrisensen, vice president for student services. Earning the honors were Robert E. Fox, Leah Madsen and Clayton W.Kirkham.
