Terry Jensen, Provo, new director of the program at the school, said about 120 residents are now involved in various projects. She hopes to be able to enlarge the program to 300 residents with the coming of summer and the availability of more volunteers to serve as leaders. "In the summer time, more of our residents are able to take part," Mrs. Jensen said, with many having rabbits, goats or other small animals to raise. They also enjoy the horses at the school and have a horse club. The school utilizes many volunteers in its program, and, the director says, it's a question as to who gets the most out of the clubs - the kids or the leaders. "The volunteers gain as much from the service as the residents," she said. "They learn to 4-- H 4-- H 4-- understand the handicapped more and are well repaid by the joy they bring to the handicapped." She said many of the leaders come from BYU, while others are high school students who gain needed credits through service projects. Several senior citizens also donate their time to the organization.
