Hospital holds Kangaroo Hop American Fork Hospital will hold a "Kangaroo Hop" for young boys and girls Thursday, March 8, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., according to Deborah Sartain, hospital social worker and hostess for the event. The party is held the second Thursday of each month as a party to help assure youngsters the hospital isn't a scary place and Mom really will come home after she has the new baby. Mrs. Sartain uses a stuffed kangaroo, complete with a baby in its pocket, to help put the experience of birth on a level that young children can understand.
