KIM CARTER LAYNE ZIMMERMAN Kim Carter to serve in Canada to serve in Layne Zimmerman Clara Jorgensen has accepted a call to serve in the San Jose, California Mission. She will be honored at a farewell service on June 12 at 2:50 p.m. in the Eleventh Ward, 1200 East 900 North, Lehi. All friends and relatives are invited to attend. Clara graduated from the BYU College of Family Living in 1981. she has Since her graduation continued to take classes at BYU and enjoys making quilts for her children and grandchildren. She and her husband, Levell, who passed away in 1976, were parents of five children: Stanley, American Fork; Mary Kay Hayes, Salt Lake City; Gaylynn Albright, Denver, Colorado; Ann Adamson, Highland; and Lujean Busk of Lehi. A leader for 20 years, Clara also enjoys gardening. She maintains both flower and vegetable gardens at her home in Lehi. Mrs. Jorgensen will enter the Missionary Training Center on June A farewell in his honor will be held Sunday, June 12, at 10:45 a.m. in the First Ward. All friends and relatives are invited to attend. Elder Peterson will enter the Missionary Training Center June 16. David graduated from Lehi High School where he was active in FFA and received the State Farmer Award. He has completed one year at Utah State University and received for agriculture a certificate machinery technology. He was also an officer in the Ag Tech Club. David received his Duty to God Award, is an Eagle Scout and has served in leadership capacities in his priesthood quorums. He played both Bantam and Explorer basketball. DONALD C. HADFIELD Brown of Glendale, Arizona, and they are the parents of three children. He is currently employed at General Refractories Darlene in Lehi. A farewell in his honor will be held June 12 at 1:20 p.m. in the Lehi Sixth Ward. All friends and relatives are invited to attend. He is the son of Karl and Carol Zimmerman. Elder Zimmerman is a graduate of Lehi High School and has been House employed at Coventry Carpets in American Fork. He has been serving as an assistant scoutmasters and is an Eagle Scout. He will enter the Missionary Training Center on June 16. Misison. Her farewell will be held this Sunday at 12:50 p.m. in the Lehi North Stake Center. All friends and relatives are invited to attend. Kim will enter the Missionary Training Center on June 15th. She has been employed at a travel agency in Provo. Utah County residents are invited to tour the beautiful Provo LDS Temple grounds when in the area. The free public tours began May 28 and will continue through Oct. 2. Tours are from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. The tour of the gardens and the temple exterior includes a brief history of the Utah Valley from Father Escalante to the Mormori pioners on up to the modern eara, as well as a discussion on the purpose of temple worship in the LDS religion. Marvin Wiggins, tour director, said the tour annually attracts more visitors from foreign and areas than local residents. "Visitors from the Utah County area comprise only five percent of our total visitors," he said. The tour is appropriate for both members of the LDS Church and alike. It features a strong emphasis on the LDS belief in the eternal nature of families. "Our image of Mormons has completely changed," wrote one couple who completed the tour. "May God bless you!" 4-- 15. Peterson has accepted a call to serve in the London-Englan- d Mission, he is the son of Paul and Doris Peterson of Lehi. Donald C. Hadfield has been sustained as second counselor in the Lehi Seventh Ward Bishopric. He will serve with Bishop L. Dee Colledge and Kay Fox, first counselor. He is the son of Iona Hadfield and the late Heber G. Hadfield. He is a graduate of the Lehi High School and LDS Seminary and has attended BYU. He has earned several scouting awards, including his Duty to God Award and the Eagle badge. He has served in two Sunday School Presidencies in the 7th and 12th Wards and as instructor in the prospective Elder's class. He has been a member of the Utah National Guard for 10 years.
