Parcel 3: Com Original Cast Members Participate In Pageant Command Performance When the first four performances of the "Utah Valley Pageant of the Arts" opened in June, 1973, there were 48 cast members, who appeared in each of the shows. That fledgling production featured 15 scenes and 24 separate art works. David Jex, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Jex of Alpine, was only that summer. He was cast as "Postman" in the Hummel collection of reproductions of the popular porcelains. Heidi Brockbank, age five, daughte-r- of -- Mr.- andMrs David Oran Brockbank, was cast in the Charles Russel "In painting, Without Knocking." Both David and Heidi have appeared in many of the subsequent productions of the popular art pageant and are the only original cast members to work in the Command Performance now in progress at American Fork High School. David has since appeared as "Stormy Weather" in the Hummels; in "Snap The Whip," a painting which is repeated again this year; "Where The Sun Goes," a desert "The of Sacrifice painting; Abraham'" and this year was cast in the bas relief, "Bacchanale." Asked how he felt in posing at age four, he replied: "I was frightened at first, but soon came to enjoy it. It felt good when the audience applauded, because I felt like I had done good."
