Show Thursday, April 24, 1980 Lehi Free Press Lehi Wins Page 11 Tri-Scho- ol Track Meet Lehi's girls track team 81 points to defeat Union at 44 and Morgan at 29 in a 2A meet held in Lehi. Lehi's boy teams managed to sneak by with a win even though Union was breathing hot air down their necks. The point total was 73 for Lehi. 68 for Union. Scott Colledge, Mark Tuckett and Coach Lloyd Jacobsen. , Baseball Team Takes Two From Morgan In a doubleheader last Thursday, Lehi's great baseball team took both games 14-- 1 and 13-The bats were really on target for the Pioneers as they flew with 17 hits total for both games. Scott Colledge and Rick Houghton allowed only one Morgan hit. Colledge in the tossed a first game, striking out 10 batters in six innings. Morgan led in both' ho-hitt-er games. The Trojans scored their lone run in the opening inning of the first game. That was the last scoring for Morgan for the rest of the game as Lehi's offense began clicking. The second and third innings were too much for Morgan as the Pioneers got singles from Scott Colledge and Layne Cardon, followed by two bases on balls and a triple by Zack Brady. This inning netted four runs for but .un Lehi, The big smashes in the third inning came when Lehi sent 11 men to the plate. Mike Bonds and Rich Lee hit a triple and a double respectively. Colledge put down the Morgan swatters in order the final three innings while his teammates added one run in the fourth and two more in the fifth to complete the Lehi . duel pitchers' developed in the second game as Houghton and Jim Webb of Morgan mowed through the lineups with little trouble.
