A celebration in her honor was held at the Larsen Nursing Home in Lehi. Emma is a native of Switzerland, where she was born April 18, 1883. As a young girl she immigrated to Utah with her parents. She grew up in Providence, Utah with her two sisters and brother. She is the only member of her family surviving.
