My salad garden is already showing green, but last year’s tumbleweed and Fleabane skeletons are still taunting, “Yah, yah, yah, you’ll never get rid of us.” And other piles of other duties and responsibilities seem just as hard to pull up and haul away. Soon it will get easier. Maybe. This is our 15th Castle Valley Times. It’s been fun so far, and lots of work, and lots of planning around its deadlines. We’re needing help from all you good readers. The size and form will continue to depend on what you are willing to contribute—news, articles, ads, time, effort, art. We invite you to do that, as we have from the beginning. If it were permitted, we’d come out and lasso you, but we have to trust your judg- BEAD ARTISTS wanted for oooooooeooooeoe ”MOAB BEAD ARTISTS” SHOW l ment. We hope this has become in your minds and will remain 3 Castle Valley l newsletter. It can be as robust or puny as you choose. Last month we paid more for copying, up a fourth from the previous cost. That hurt. Our treasury is getting smaller. Those twelve-pagers give lots of room, but the costs are high—in printing fees, mailing fees, and time. Your cash donations are welcome and crucial. We remind you that this is an all-volunteer effort and that all cash donations go for printing. We’re wondering whether we should start selling copies? Where to locate a steady funding source? Other ideas? We welcome your thoughts on the matter. MAY 2711-] THROUGH JULY 51'" oooooooooooooeooooooooo All kinds of bead work—JEWELRY, CLOTHING, ORNAMENTS, POUCHES, ETC.
