Show Page Lehi Free Press Thursday, December 27, 1979 Bantam Basketball Results 4 Last week's games were exciting with some very well played and well coached games, coming down to the last few seconds to determine the winner. The first game was like this with the Bucks winning over the Suns Todd Street had another great game with 16 points, Corey Downs with 6 and Travis Lehmberg with 4 points for the Bucks. The Suns scorers were Greg Smith 8, Brian Smith 7, Jason Adamson 6 and Shad Hansen 4. The second game was won by the Royals 50 to the Pacers 24. Evan Gordon had another fine game with 19 points, Wayne Peterson 8, Shane Julian 7, Corbey 27-2- and Randy Rafiner with 6 each for the Royals. The Pacers leading scorers were Cody Smith 9, and Nathan Hadfield with 4. The Bulls won over the Stars 28 to 16. Shane Atkinson and Chris Baum were leading scorers for the Bulls with 10 points each. The Stars were led by Jeff Peterson with 8 and Robert Smith with 4. The last game was another close, exciting game. The Celtics finally defeated the Lakers The Celtics scorers were Mike Morrill 16, Kevin Southwick 9, with Bryce Gray and Chris Price with 5 each. The Lakers scoring was by Tony Christofferson 13, Ricky Evans 12 and Robert Webb 5. The Broadcaster gave awards for the Mr. Hustle of each game to Corey Downs (Bucks), Corbey Oxborrow (Royals), Jeff Peterson (Stars), and Ricky Evans (Lakers). Way to hustle guys. Come out to some more fine games again tonight. and Kathryn Wing Klein of Borger, Texas, welcomed a baby boy born Dec. 18. The handsome Dies; Funeral Held Thursday Dailene Pine Monday, Dec. 17, 1979, in a Salt Lake City hospital after a Ellifritz, 51, little newcomer has lots of dark hair, tipped the scales at seven pounds fourteen ounces and measured 21 inches in height. She was born Feb. 22, 1928 in Hinkley, Millard County, to Theodore and Myrtle Reeve Hampton. She married William Ellifritz, Oct. 22, 1948 in Craig, Colo. Survivors include her husband; two sons and three daughters, Lonnie D. Ellifritz and Jim Ellifritz, both of Modesto, Calif.; Mrs. Daniel (Ann) Lubick, Rock Springs; A Rita Mrs. Lester, Evanston, Wyo. ; Mrs. Tony (Nita) Royer, Colo.; six four grandchildren; brothers and three Pueblo, sisters, Duane Hampton and Virl Hampton, both of Edward Orem; Hampton, Lehi; Mrs. Robert (Joy) Benzon, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Lynn (Faye) Faunce, Pleasant Grove; Larry Hampton and Mrs. Gregg ( Bonnie ) Winters, American Fork. Funeral services were held Dec. 20 in the Wing Mortuary Chapel with Robert Benzon of- ficiating. Lenard Wing played the prelude and postlude music. The family prayer was given by Ed Hampton. Ron Olsen spoke the invocation. Dawn Dinehart sang the hymn My Father's House Are Many Mansions" accompanied by Judy "In Nattress. The biographical sketch and remarks Ed by Hampton, a brother. Darrell Carter spoke the benediction and Gregg Winters offered the dedicatory prayer at Lehi City Cemetery. Serving as pall bearers were Lonnie Baker, Jimmy Ellifritz, Rusty Winters and Roger Hampton, Dan Lubick and Tony 1906 in Sandy Ridge, N.C., to Richard Jackson and Hattie Louise Hutchings. Garry Sampson officiated at the funeral services. Laurel Merrill played the prelude and postlude music and the family prayer was offered by Lynn Hutchings. Lowell Griguhn spoke the opening prayer. Grandchildren of Mr. Hutchings sang the touching hymn, "I Am A Child of God." Those participating were Richard Hutchings, Jared Hutchings, Rebecca Hutchings, Jason Hutchings, LeAnn Hutchings, Paul Hutchings, Scott Hutchings, Jann Hutchings. and Kris Griguhn. Garry Sampson announced the services and spoke comforting words to the family and "congregation. Speakers were John Allred and long-tim- e neighbor Noy Christofferson. A ladies double trio accompanied by Roberts Peterson sang a musical number. They were followed by an inspiring message from Bishop Rex Price. Real For Ruby Scott V- - DONNA COLLEDGE Donna Colledge Dies, Funeral Saturday Donna Mae Johnson Colledge, 2055 North 500 West, Lehi, died Dec. 26 an extended following illness. She was born Jan. 27, 1936 in Salt Lake City, a daughter of Ivan and Bertha Allen Johnson. She married Dean Colledge Aug. 28, 1953 in Lehi. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was active in the Third Ward Primary and Relief Society. Survivors include her husband; her children, Victor, American Fork; Kevin, Robert, and Cindy of Lehi; Mrs. Larry (Marie) Shiner, Price; Mrs. Dan (LuDean) six Orem; Daley, "I feel just like a kid again, just waiting for Santa Claus," exclaimed Ruby Scott when telling about a mysterious gift giver who's been keeping her guessing for 12 days. I received a note telling me that the 12 days of Christmas would have a special significance for me. but little did I realize the joy I'd have this Christmas. My surprises began Dec. 14 when I found a special gift and a note tucked inside my screen door. Then each day since there's been gifts and more notes of explanation, all in the theme of "The Twelve Days of Christmas." When asked if she'd received 12 maids a milking, or two turtle doves she answered no, but she had found a loaf of home baked bread, cookies, candy and even a bottle of aspirin to make it all safe and sensible. "Each note is original and has special meaning," smiled Ruby, a widow who lives at 2nd North and 5th West in Lehi. "I have no idea who did this for me, but I want them to know how much I their appreciate thoughtfulness. It's the most exciting Christmas I've ever had. I just couldn't wait for tomorrow to come." She was born June 17, 1901, in Barkhausen, by Minden, Westfallen, Germany, to Friedrich Wilhelm and Karoline t - NEIL C. CHRISTENSEN Luise Voss. She Erich August May 23, 1921 in Germany. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Nov. 21, 1959. She then married Willard Peter Stevensen July 14. 1962 in the Manti LDS Temple. He died Nov. 14, 1967. She served in all church auxiliaries in the LDS Church, and served an Indian mission in the Uintah Basin. She was also a temple worker. Survivors include four sons and three daughters, Enoch San Stolla.
