The board unanimously approved the general application. The board also considered providing matching funds to build rubberized tracks for American Fork, Pleasant Grove and Lehi High Schools if community supporters can come up with half. The cost for each school would be about $55,000, but the three schools are the only ones in the county without the more modern tracks. Athletic boosters in American Fork and Pleasant Grove have been working for several weeks trying to come up with their funds, although the board has not given definite and final approval to match donations.
