The following is the text of the narrative read at the presentation of the Golden Key Award: "How do you succeed in the world without really trying? We have heard stories about some individuals who may have been able to accomplish insurmountable such. Lehi High School. And, because of growing up on a 1,400 acre family farm, Paul naturally was interested in school courses related to agriculture. At school Paul suc- Fortunately, however, for most it is a matter of succeeding in the world by really trying. H. Paul Mendenhall is an inspiring example of how one achieves success by overcoming almost employers were honored for their special efforts for the handicapped. Cedar Valley Ward won the award for the best adherence to the theme, another for the best ' use of recorded music; and was judged for the 2nd runner-uBest Film. The Fourth Ward won the Best Cinematography Award and was judged for Best first runner-uFilm. The Seventh Ward tied for the Best Use of Resources and won the Originality award. The Twelfth Ward received the award for Best Script and tied for the Best Use of Resources. The Fourteenth Ward won Best Special Effects Throughout the years, Paul has been able to earn a comfortable living for himself, and at the same time, contribute significantly to the successful operation of the farm. During this period, Paul has also been engaged in public service activities. He has served for 15 years as scoutmaster for a handicapped scout troop. His example and wise counsel has greatly influenced the rehabilitation of many handicapped and the Fifteenth Ward won the Best Film Award. The Best Actress Award went to Madelyn Heiniger for her role of "Claim Jumper Jake" in the 15th Ward film. Garth Fjellstrom won the Best Actor Award for his role of the "Cowster" in the 7th Ward film. "Yukon Syndrome'' from the 15th Ward; "Mary Lou Ella," 14th Ward; "Wild.
