The group was charged to study all aspects of county operations Especially important to north county residents is the provision to elect council members with definite geographical representation. Under the present county government, there is no legal reason why all three county commissioners could not be elected from one neighborhood. The new plan would require council members to come from each of the four state senate districts, thus guaranteeing the north end of the county at least one voice on the council.
