Show FFA Program Tonight ... onnounca wedding i III - 4-- H Athenians Hold Vocational Foods Students Birthday Party To Open Quick Food Stop 4-- H My The Athenian Club held their Birthday Party at the home of Auctus Club Hears Food Expert Mrs. Fawn Willes. were Mrs. Margaret King and Mrs. Stella Peterson. The Litany was given by Mrs. Mildred Christiansen. Mrs. Beatrice Taylor gave a report on the Bicentennial quilt that the Athenian Club sent to the State Fair. Pres. Olive Harding gave a report on the money from the tickets that were sold and what the money was to be used for. The ticket was drawn by Ruth Johnson, a guest, for the quilt. The quilt was given to Vervene Grant, who called and thanked the Club and told how happy she was to receive The opening meeting of the Auctus Club was held at. the home of Lucille Webb. Guest speaker was William Irvin Poulter, Jr. His subject was "Eat to Keep Well." He showed a film on foods made from wheat, also food that was dried and food dryers. The group enjoyed a most interesting and educational evening. Dorene Webb is president and conducted the meeting. Refreshments were served to 16 it. The Legislative Report was given by Ruby Lee. The discussion on the appropriation of the Federal Government to the schools, and whether it would be wise or not to vote for it.
