In order to earn this honor, Mrs. Scown has lost 101-1- 2 pounds over the past 18 months and has maintained her goal for over three months. She was awarded a trophy and a bouin Diquet of roses. Runner-u- p vision Five was Mrs. Jack Roberts. She was given a charm for her bracelet. Mrs. .Mary Maynard was winner in Division Four and was also the 'club's best pound loser1 for the year. She received a bouquet of roses and a charm for her bracelet. These "losers" were honored at the 1970 Award winners program last week. Mrs. Schown is active in the local Tops Club Chapter, the American Legion Auxiliary and has been active in the PTA. She is the mother of three children. "My family has been a big help," she said. They include Mrs. Elaine Roberts, Ogden to Open High School Rodeo Season The first high school rodeo for the season has been set by the Spikers, the rodeo club at Ogden High School. The rodeo wit be held April 15, 16 and 17th fi the Golden Spike Coliseum in Ogden. Stock producer for '.ie rodeo will be the Cross Trl: ngle Rodeo Company. Grand Entry time will be 7:30 p.m. each evening and high school students from throughout the state will be competing for top prizes. Boys events will include bareback bronc riding, saddle bronc riding, bull riding, calf roping, team roping, bull dogging and cow cutting. Girls events will consist of cloverleaf barrel racing, pole bending, goat tying, break-awa- y roping, team roping and cow cutting. Highlight of the events will be the selection of a queen to reign over the rodeo. This will be held on April IS. A tea for all contestants will be held at 9 a.m., sponsored by the Spikers Rodeo Club, and entrants will be Judged on horsemanship at 2 p.m. er; sec-retar- y; corder. Mrs. Scown will be further honored on Saturday, April 24, in Salt Lake City at the annual Tops Clubs State Recognition Day. "We have been remembered each Easter for the past four years with a special basket full of goodies." Easter morning revealed that their guest had called again this year.
