Mrs. Greenwood reached her weight goal and has maintained j it for over three months and now is a K.o.F.5 (.Keep uir Pounds Sensibly member). Mrs. Dale (Bette Lou) Walker was only one half pound behind Wilma Greenwood and was named " runner up' to the Queen. A 16 year old girl was named "Teen Queen' for 1970. Foundation 19 Wedding Teen Ager Pageant in Juns The State Pageant dates for the Miss American Teen Ager Pageant to be held at the Ben Lomond Hotel in Ogden, Utah, have been changed from July 23-to June 18, 19. Deadline for applications would be April 19. Many young ladles from throughout the state will be participating in the Utah State Finals to be held in the Grand Ballroom of the Ben Lomond Hotel in downtown Ogden. Age limits are 7, and contestants must still be 17 on Sept. 11, 1971, in order to be eligible for the National Finals. The winner will represent the state of Utah for a year, and go to the National Finals in September in Palisades Park, New Jersey (all expenses paid). There will be four days at the pageant, and trips are planned to visit Staten Island, United Nations Building and New York City. Fifty girls from their various states will be represented. Miss American Teen Ager currently is Kim Graham of Morrow, Georgia. This is not a bathing suit or talent contest. Girls are judged on their scholastic achievements, poise, personality, civic contributions, and appearance. The Miss American Teen-AgPageant is recognized in the Congressional Record as an outstanding pageant for young ladies and it is a constructive program designed to highlight the role of the American Teen-Ag- e girl in her activities in school, home and community. The company presents a marvelous lecture demonstration with really comments about dance in today's world. It's fast paced with many costume changes and is the sort of dance experience that is excellent for getting both dancers and untrained audiences excited about dance and what it can do for the individual. The committee has set a very minimal cost on this production at $1.00 for adults, 50 cents for students, and 25 cents for children so that the whole family can enjoy this cultural entertainment.
