Clark Goates, 66, died Thursday, home July in 55, at her Centerfield, Sanpete County, after a long illness. She was born in Lehi, Sept. 7, 1895. daughter of Thomas Hen ry and Margaret Ann Fox Clark. She was married to David Ray Goates in the Salt Lake Temple, June 11, 1919. Her husband died Oct. 22. 1959. Sons and daughters surviving Include Earl dark Goates, Spring- ville; Max Goates, Sandy; Mrs. Dee O. Jarrett, Nephi; Mrs. La- Mar C Paxman, Spanish Fork; Mrs. Eldon B. Pulsipher, St Johns, Ariz. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Isaac, Gran ger; Lynn, Provo; Stanley Clark, Mrs. Ruson Russon and Mrs. Leo Lott, all of Lehi. Funeral services were held Monday, July 9, in the Centerfield Ward chapel, with Interment in the Lehi cemetery. Horse show performance classes will begin at 7:30 p.m. each night and at 1:30 p.m. July 21 with a pageant depicting highlights in history when Arabian horses played important roles. Races will be featured at 5 p.m., July 20 and the afternoon of July ZL Halter class judging will get underway at 8:30 ajn. each day. Another highlight of the show will be free drawings for IGA Table-rit- e choice beef and other prizes. Scown, Dennis Finch, first vice commander and Paul Evans, second vice commander. District Commander Reed Bench urged all post officers to get membership committees organized for early membership drives. Officers were asked to set up an activity program which they would carry out during the coming year. Activity is a big membership getter in any organization, it was pointed out Junior Baseball Tourney . The American Legion Junior Baseball tournament will be held July 31 through August 4, at American Fork. The American Fork Legion Auxiliary will have the concessions during the tourament. Out of town teams will be housed at the American Fork National Guard Armory. All posts are urged to attend and support the tournament this year.
