A review xt the newest varieties of crysanthemums and possibilities in planting was presented by Mr. and Mrs. Roy L. Fermaa The colored slides were obtained from the Lehman Gardens in Faribault, .Minnesota. Mrs. Margaret McMillan, club president, took charge of the meeting. . The Lehi High School diamond experts surprised even their most ardent fans Monday with a 10 to 2 victory over the Pleasant Grove Giving Vikings. Jerry Butt clutches his team mates made it phenomenal support in the possible for the Lehi chucker to win a one hit victory the first win in two years of effort. The Lehi team executed two double killings to get Butt out of trouble from his few streaks of wildness when he issued consecutive walks. For the first three innings not a ball was hit out of the infield. Several times it looked as if slow fielding would cause trouble, but fortunately slow base running was slower and the runners were out. Lehi's infield of Cardon, Dorton, Evans and Prior have played together for three years and, with Manning and Butt, have given Lehi a good club. They lost a heart-breaklast Thursday to American Fork 9 to 7 after taking a 6 to 0 lead in the first inning. Lehi broke the game wide open in the third inning when they scored nine runs on nine hits. Robinson, the visiting pitcher, was hit hard or bunts were loosely fielded and the Lehi boys ran the bases like they knew why they were out there. Hill Hayes, a sophomore outfielder, hit three for four. Morgan Evans broke his slump with a three for four, one a double and Cardon got two for for four to lead the Lehi attack. Lehi-P- . G. game was played at Veterans Memorial park. Coach Prior said all teams and officials playing have commented on the splendid park and what it will be and mean to the community after it is completed. er A baby daughter joined the family of Stephen Paul and LaRae Evans Shelley, April 18, in American Fork.
