The meeting is being held for the purpose of improving the music in all of the organizations additional and to bring about participation of young people in music activities. Patterns and plans outlined by the general committees of the LDS church will be presented and discussed. The establishing of more choral groups will be discussed. It is planned to work out a program for stimulating interest in choir festivals, cansinging through tatas, etc.. conducted on a stake basis, with combined and massed groups. Music workers in auxiliaries are being notified. If any have been overlooked, a special invitation is extended to them to attend. Mrs. Lucy Davi McHugh, 64, native of Lehi and sister to Mrs. N. V. (Winnie)) Sorenson of this city, died suddenly at her home in Salt Lake City, Monday, Sept. 3. She had previously had some illness from a heart ailment. She was born in Lehi, Feb. 15, 1892, a daughter of Henry T. and Elizabeth Evans Davis. Educated in the Lehi schools, she had lived in Salt Lake City for some years. Survivors include a son, Patrick R. McHugh of Nevada; a daughter, Mi's. Wanda C. Crane, Henderson, Nevada; two grandchildB. Charles ren; two brothers, N. V. (Winnie) Sorenson, Lehi, Funeral services were held Sat- urday at the Deseret Mortuary chapel in Salt Lake City. Interment took place in the Lehi cemetery where the grave was dedicated by Bishop Darrell Crane, a relative. Mrs. Edwin Circuit (Delia) of Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Paul Mathewson (Bertha) of Ogden, spent Saturday here with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. David IL Carson. He m T if Elder Morris Goates Transferred to British Columbia Elder Morris Goates, Stake President and Mrs. Herman C. Goates, who is serving in the West Canadian Mission, has been transferred to British Columbia According to word received this week by his parents, he is now located at Comox. He was formerly located in the Saskatchewan area. It is interesting for him to meet acquaintances and friends of Elder LaMar Goates, a relative, who served in the samea area.
