Norman Ray Winters A lovely April bride was Miss June LaFerne Barnes who exchanged marriage vows with Norman Ray Winters of Pleasant Grove, in rites conducted Saturday evening at six o'clock, by Bishop Harold W. Barnes. Family members were present for the occasion which took place in the First Ward hall. The bride is a daughter of Mrs. Azalea Barnes and the late Joseph Barnes. Mr. Winters is a son of Mrs. Norma Winters. For the reception which followed that same evening, the bridal party stood before a lovely background of palms and lighted white tapers in tall candelabra. Daffodils and other spring flowers followed the decorative theme, yellow and pastel green. A gown of traditional white satin was chosen by the new Mrs. Winters, designed with voluminous skirt, fitted bodice and long pointice sleeves and Peter Pan collar. A veil of three quarter length was bordered in wide lace and caught to a coronet of pearls. Her bouquet was of white carnations and red rosebuds. Standing as maid of honor was Miss Mary Winters, sister of the groom; with Miss Norma Winters, n Mrs. Jack Barnes and Miss Slater, a cousin, as the other attendants. Gowned in pastel shades they wore corsages of pink and white carnations. The mother of the bride chose pastel blue with corsage of a gardenia and rosebuds. Mrs. Winters, senior, wore a becoming shade of orchid, with like corsage. Allen Robinson stood as best man for his friend. Miss Zola Goodwin cared for the guest book. In charge of gifts were Mrs. Lynn Barnes, Miss Norma Peterson and Miss Mar-jori- e Spencer. Evans Cafe caterCol-leee- ed the refreshments. During the receiving, a background of favorite melodies was played on the piano by Mrs. Evelyn Slater, sister of the bride. Bishop Harold W. Barnes was master of ceremonies for the program. Following a short honeymoon trip the newlyweds are at home in Pleasant Grove. I! VI Athenian Club Elects Officers Officers for next season were elected at the meeting of the Athenian Club last week. Mrs. Donald Wright, who is currently of the serving as group, was advanced to the position of president. With her will serve, Mrs. Clifford Miller as Mrs. Harold W Barnes as secretary, and Mrs. D. R.
