Show THE LEHI FREE PRESS, LEHI, UTAH THURSDAY, APRIL 9, 195S Jaycees Egg Hunt Proves Popular With Children Some 30 Lehi children participated in the big Jaycee egg hunt held in Wines Park last Saturday, according to Ted Comer, chairman Local members of of the event the Junior Chamber of Commerce and their wives cooperated with the Easter Bunny in staging a large scale party for all the children of Lehi from the toddling stage to those eight years of age. In a very enthusiastic response, the crowds of children ran about on the fresh green grass in the hunt for the prize colored eggs. Those marked with the Jayceee initials entitled the finders to real live baby chicks. Three dozen of the fluffy little fellows were passed out to the eager youngsters. "And," Mr. Comer stated, "we could surely have given out many more." Local business houses contributed prizes of merchandise, up to the amount of $1, to the children finding eggs marked with their names. Every child who attended was given a bag of candy and goodies typical of the Easter season. Harold Ellison, Dean Kirkham and Paul Julian 'served with Mr. Comer on the committee which was assisted by the entire membership and their wives. Weather conditions were ideal for the party.
