CLARK, Manager CENTER and STATE STREETS With the growth of travel on coach and tourist car sections of the Union Pacific Los Angeles Limited trains, which have become highly popular for women and children, a female attendant has beome a necessity. Owing, however, to the cleanliness of travel in competely equipment, such as is used in these trains, the conventional maid is not now so necessary, and in lieu thereof the Union Pacific will inaugurate a stewardess service on these trains. The stewardesses will be registered nurses selected with attention to qualificaions and appearances. d These sewardesses will be blue French by their attractive serge, smartly tailored uniforms. They will be in constant attendance and at the service of the guests on these trains without charge. This service will begin from Omaha, Wednesday, August 21, and from Los Angeles, Friday, August 23. "The women patronage of the new train, especially in the exclusive women's coaches, has become so extensive," explained W. S. Basinger, passenger traffic manager of the Union Pacific, "that the Stewardesses coach have been insalled in this train. So many of our passengers are mothers accompanied by small children, in the care of which the stewardesses can be so helpful because of their hospital instruction. These young ladies have been jproperly trained to be of general assistance to passengers and particularly to administer to the needs and comforts of our passenger guests.'' , In service but a few weeks, the coach and tourist car section of the Los Angeles Limited is proving to be one of the most popular trains on the Union Pacific. During the daylight hours, the dining cars, wherein popular priced meals are served, are used as club and recrea tion cars by passengers. recog-nipe- LOCAL ITEH1S LEGAL NOTICES PROBATE AND GUARDIAN- SHIP NOTICE Consult County Clerk or the respective signers for further formation. in- NOTICE TO CREDITORS In the matter of the estate of Wallace William Asher, deceased.
