Einar Nielsen Field House contains a table tennis set-unine handball and racquetball courts, five indoor tennis courts, a 2 11 -- meter indoor track, an exercise room, exercise bicycles and a tennis ball machine and rebound net. The hours are 6 a jn. to 1 1 p.m. Monday thru Thursday, from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sunday. Facilities available in the health, physical education and recreation complex include 28 basketball hoops, one diving pool, a six and eight lane pool, six handball and racquetball courts, a wcightroom, a light exercise room and a dance room. Open recreation hours arc from 6:30 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. Monday thru Friday, noon to 1 p.m. Monday thru Friday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and from I to 6 p.m. Sunday. A wide variety of sports equipment can be checked out at both the Field House and the HPER complex. Items available from the outdoor equipment rental include neccessary things for camping trips like backpacks, tents, sleeping bags, ovens, ground cloths, a dutch oven, coolers and many more things to make your trips enjoyable and safe. Some of the winter sports equipment available include a cross country package of skis, boots and poles, metal edge skis, poles, snowshoes, a snow shovel and a ski rack. A few of the water sports items available include a paddle raft, kayaks, life jackets and wetsuits. All students with a current univesity I.D. card and faculty and staff with a current campus recreation card are eligible to rent equipment. At the time of rental, a $5 deposit and the full rental fee is due. Deposits are returned if the equipment is back by the due date and it is returned in good condition. Individuals not returning equipment in time or in poor condition will be assessed a fine. Equipment may be reserved on or after the Monday preceding the date of equipment checkout and watersport reservations may be made beginning March 15. Cancelled reservations must be made 24 hours in advance to receive a full refund and reservations are not made over the phone. 12-in- ch rental fee will be charged.
