Darryl Strawberry and Howard Johnson also added homers for the Mets in the game. Jesse Orosco, 7-- 6, got the win in relief. In Montreal, Hubie Brooks two-ru- n triple keyed a three-ru- n seventh inning, rallying the Expos to a 7-- 5 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals. The victory allowed Montreal to take two of three weekend games from first place St. Louis and kept the Cards magic number for clinching the National League East Division title at four. The Cardinals lead the second place New York Mets by three games with six left to play. St. Louis entertains New York for a three game scries beginning Tuesday night. The win upped the Angels season record to 8 and moved them one full game ahead of Kansas Gty in the 3-- er 9-- 87-6- American League Western Divison chase. In Minnesota, the Twins held on to beat the Royals for the second day in a row, 6-- 3, dropping Kansas Gty a full game behind California. The Angels and Kansas Gty meet for a three-gam- e showdown series beginning Monday night in Kansas Gty. The Royals were divisional champions in the West last year before being eliminated in the playoffs by eventual World Series champion Detroit.
